EPFO Allows to available second covid-19 advance to Member

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made a new announcement to provide relief to its subscribers during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now you can avail the non-refundable (non-refundable) Covid-19 advance for the second time from your PF account. The provision of special clearance was made for the first time in March, 2020 under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) to meet the financial requirements of the people during the pandemic.

Once again the EPFO has taken an important decision to provide relief to the subscribers amid the second wave of Coronavirus. Subscribers will also be able to take advantage of non-refundable Covid Advance for the second time. According to the rules of the facility given last year, the subscriber could withdraw 75 percent of the amount deposited in his PF account or an amount equal to three months’ salary (basic and DA), whichever is less.

Decision taken in view of corona and black fungus

According to the information given by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, members who have withdrawn advance from their PF account last year can withdraw the advance once again. According to the ministry, this relief has been announced in view of the effect of black fungus along with the corona crisis.

According to the information given by the ministry, the Covid-19 advance helped the EPF members a lot during the pandemic. Of the members whose monthly salary is less than Rs 15,000, so far 76.31 lakh employees have taken COVID-19 non-refundable advance. These employees withdrew an amount of Rs 18,698.15 crore as advance. EPFO has made preparations to pay the new claim immediately, within 3 days of the application, the money will be in the subscriber’s account.
