EPFO guidelines increase difficulties

The purpose of EPFO behind bringing new guidelines is to protect PF accounts from fraud. According to EPFO, mistakes in name, father’s name, husband’s name, date of birth and gender could be rectified.

Under normal circumstances the entire profile of the member cannot be allowed to change. Under the new changes, you will not be able to change your name in the profile of your PF account. Many times people mistakenly fill their name spelling incorrectly, due to which there is a problem in PF account.
Must go to PF office with necessary documents
You have to go to the EPFO office with the necessary documents. Apart from this, you will not be able to change your date of birth, father’s name / husband’s name, nominee’s name and also the name of your employer. For these changes also you have to go to the office of EPFO with some important documents.
