FSSAI Basic Registration

FSSAI State Licence
  • Turnover between 12 lakhs to 20 crores.

  • Dairy units are handling business up to 5000 litres per day
  • 3-star and above hotels, repackers, relabeling units, clubs, canteens, and all catering services, regardless of turnover.
FSSAI Central Licence
  • Turnover in excess of 20 crores.
  • Operations in two or more states.

Documents Required for FSSAI Registration

Here is a general list of documents commonly needed for FSSAI registration:

  • Form A or Form B:Depending on the scale of your business, you need to fill either Form A (for petty food business operators) or Form B (for other food business operators).

Procedure for Renewal

An FSSAI license can be renewed prior to its expiration and is good for a duration of one to five years. Any individual or organization in possession of a food license may apply for a renewal by completing an application and sending it no later than 30 days before to the license's expiration.The application and renewal processes are identical and call for the same paperwork. A late fee of ₹100 per day will be applied to any FSSAI renewal application that is filed beyond the expiration date. If the food license has expired, the food business operator is required to cease all activities at the facility.
